About an hour ago, I fell backwards and landed on my bottom. I won't go into details as to how I did it. The thud, as I fell, knocked me sick but I didn't actually vomit. I didn't bang my head. I managed to get myself up off the floor and drive home.

My lower back hurts, particularly on walking upstairs and now I have a really bad headache. Was it the jolt, up my spine, that is causing the headache? I have taken two ibuprofen.

Are you monitoring the situation, Tilly ;-)

I think I will be tomorrow, Melv.
Possibly the jolt and the shock and yes it does hurt and will ache, not nice Tilly.
Ouch you will be worse tomorrow, try a soak in a warm bath and a couple more pills - if not feeling better best go for a checkup tomorrow
Horrible when you fall...could be that you are totally shaken up and it will take a couple of days REST to feel better. Get well soon x
Blimey Tills, hope ur ok.
Might you have injured your coccyx Tilly?
Be thankful that you were able to get up from the floor. When I have fallen at home, and I've had a fair few over recent years, it is an ambulance job as I am unable to get up on my own.

Thank you all, for your good wishes. At the moment, the headache is worse than the back ache. I don't think anything is broken or damaged. As Jack says, I was lucky to be able to get myself off the floor.

A soak in the bath, later, is a good idea.

I can't believe that I fell over!
Take care Tilly.

Thanks for that link, Elena.
A BP check might be in order. All my falls have resulted from very low BP.
Poor you, take it easy and don't overdo it xxx
When you fell it probably shook your head up too. Hope the worst of the pain goes off soon with pain relievers and soaking in the bath. Don't let it go on too long Tilly. You might want to get it checked out. x

Don't think it was low BP Jack, but thank you, anyway. It was a daft accident and my own fault.
Sorry to hear this Tilly, hope you feel better soon. If you don't, off to the doctor.
