Toilet tissues
Does anyone know if it is still possible to buy those small square boxes of dry tissues once used as toilet roll? We have an old-fashioned holder in our bathroom and it would be handy next to the sink to dab nicks while shaving etc.

Dave.....I was relieved to read that your offering says.....VGC...not actually used..... :-)
That's not the full-on styptic experience though, Chris :)

Thank you for the advice, and for the laughs. I wont bother with the e-bay item - too expensive for a start - and will visit my nearest Sainsburys (over 20miles away) at the next opportunity. My bad luck they will be out of stock when I get there. Pass me a tissue for my tears please!!!!!
What, no Sainsbury's?

Is your area posh enough for Waitrose then?

Now there's posh!

Waitrose says.....£1.31 per hundred sheets.....

Sainsbury's says.....£1.31 per hundred ***......... :-)
Oh heck! I posted the abbreviation...... s....h.....t......it reads...x

Nah! 70 miles for that store. But we do have nearer an Aldi and a Lidl - definitely not a posh area - we are more used to using cut out squares of newspapers!!!
You could just stuff your holder with squares of toilet paper, Iris.....

That's not a sentence I thought I'd ever say..... :-(
I don't know if they are manufactured any more but when I was a young shaver I used a styptic pencil to deals with little nicks.

BTW I well remember Bronco and Izal. Bronco had a shiny side and a rough side. Izal was only good for nicking from the school bogs to use as tracing paper in class.
Bronco and izal ruined my derriere years ago :-(

Iris....have you considered origami.....just imagine little birds and giraffes popping out of your holder...now that would be amusing...x
I started an origami business but it folded up after 6 months x
