Are all private practice dentists required to offer a certain number of NHS places ??

No....they are not. And if you live in a "wealthy" area then it might be difficult to find a NHS Dentist.

In my area of Swansea, there are now plenty of NHS Dentists available. I have not long had my lovely new teeth and they are gorgeous, and fit well !

I think I pay £20 / month which is peanuts - that is 1/2 a filling a year
I had to resort going to a dental hospital where trainees carry out the work under qualified supervision. Best move I ever made after my dentist quoted a ridiculous sum to fill and remove a tooth.
