hi it was recently discovered that i have a cervical growth, a biopsy was done on it. I am in my early 40s. Anyone got any idea how likely it is to be begnign rather than malignant?

also meant to say i had a normal smear 18 months ago and i have in the past had a cervical cerclage which was in for about 2 years

Commonest things occur most commonly.
The commonest cervical growth is a cervical polyp which is benign.

no point in speculation bednobs...a lot of these things usually amount to nowt..try not to worry too much and wait for biopsy results...xx

thanl sj and squad, clearly it's an anxious time for me. Ive been on immunosuppresant therapy for 20 odd years now, so i know my risks are increased. Also doen't help the worrying that i am slightly pregnant at the moment

tes, it was a strange week. The growth was only found because i had bleeding and thought it was a miscarriage, but it was the growth.
