So the ink stains don't show.
(That's just a guess, by the way, I don't actually know)
Possibly because it makes it all look more rock n roll when they're disfiguring their victims.
'Gorilla Gloves' as they are known , don't look half so messy during a Tattoo process as flesh tone ones would.
If they wear coloured, or flesh coloured gloves it can detract the tattooists eyes from what they're inking.

lots of answers there Hans - like you couldn't make up your own mind thanks for the links. I think they are disgusting (tattoos) simply I would worry what they are going to look like when they are old . I have seen a few old ones on old women and they are dirty looking and faded but it is their bodies. Ta all.

By the time my generation reaches OAP-dom they'll be a massive amount of us with aged tattoos, it will no longer be looked upon as 'orrible to us, it'll just be acceptable.

Love, me and my 5 tattoos

The term 'Tramp Stamp' makes me squirm - I am not judgemental , as said above each person's choice.

Who knows what your bank manager/consultant/dentist/lawyer has beneath their workaday attire ??

All 'Tramps' are they?
How could anyone not love a B00.
Awww, shucks xxx

I aint got one of those, but yes, a tramp stamp is one (usually tribal print) placed on the lower back.
I didn't know that and if I have misunderstood you I apologise.

Don't get me wrong, I think some are dreadful and some have far too many but again their choice.
I've got one of those :-). I'm not the slightest bit worried about what other people might think when I'm old. They only matter to me.
This was my (and Mr Boo's matching one) last one done.
