I am sure (I think) that I read about the omentum on AB over the last day or so.

Some years back I watched a TV programme about animals. A cat had caught its leg through its collar and had a big open wound which would not heal.

The vets operated and pulled some of the omentum under the cat's skin to the underarm area and grafted it. It increased the blood flow to the area and the wound healed quickly.

I don't think it would work on a human - but who knows.

wolfy.....oh yes it would work in humans, but in the later case. skin grafting would be the treatment of choice.
