this is a strange one. i'm a mother of two so i know what pregnancy feels like. For the last two days ive been experiencing a very strange sensation which feels EXACTLY like a baby in my tummy. Squirming and wriggling movements and even little 'kicking' movements. i am on the pill and do not want any more chilldren so its not wishful thinking. ive done two pregnancy tests and they were negative.. what else could it be? my partner says its probably wind but it doesnt feel like that.

obviously an alien :o)

sorry, couldn't resist that one.  obviously a trick to your doctor is needed for peace of mind and safety's sake.

take care

trick.. trick... now why did i type that!!!  is it a trick of the mind :o)
I have that sometimes too and I'm definitely not pregnant either. It's strange isn't it?! I've put mine down to the fact that I only had a baby five months ago and it's just everything moving back into the right place. My best friend had it for almost a year after her son was born too. Perhaps if it wasn't that long ago when you had your second child, it could be the same. I'd get it checked out by a doctor though, just to be on the safe side x

About 9 years ago, there was a series called "Chiller" on ITV. The first episode featured a couple, and the woman was pregnant with a ghost.

Well, you did ask.

I would agree with your partner i think its wind too,Iv had the same feeling that a babys moving inside me and its always turned out to be wind.
I'd be interested to know if you had a baby recently, as l agree with lissy.  l too have experienced this feeling after each of my children were born but my squirmys actually lasted more than 12 months.  lt was confirmed that it was just the muscles moving everything back into place.  Absolutely nothing to be concerned about.
I also felt sensations as if my baby was still moving inside me, long after (maybe up to a year after) he was born.
I get the feelings 5 years later. PLEASE see a dr or midwife for confirmation. A negative test can be false but a positive one can't (according to my midwife friend), she's had 30 years experience

My mum had a phantom pregnancy after my baby brother was born years ago.  Her periods stopped and she even started lactating I think.  I think it's quite common.
