Thanks for your concern, fred, he's not poorly so much as he will be 86 in April and has short term memory problems. It's more frustrating than hard work really!

Oh I am sorry Alec can I call you this ?I can understand your situation,My father was suffering from lung cancer and I nursed him until he died,there was some really frustrating situations that at 22yrs of age was a traumatic time for me.

Please feel free to call me alec. I sometimes wish I'd never put the Sir in front of it. Many people find it pretentious!

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Cancer must be a hard one to care for. It was only on the day she died that I found out my Mum had bowel cancer. Fortunately the heart failure took her first. At least I was much older than 22 and could cope better. It must have been awful for you.
