If you have been married/engaged now divorced or the engagement/marriage ended for whatever reason, what did you do with the wedding/engagement rings ? Did you have them melted down and remade into another piece of jewellery, pawn them, or give them to a son/daughter?

i am not in that situation, but i did have my wedding ring melted down to make a new wedding ring
thrown into the rubbish bag...years ago...
A friend of mine is a jeweller. He makes good money from the scrap ;o(
In a box somewhere. My daughter can have them if she wants them.
I took the diamond out of my engagement ring and had it re-set in a pendant. it was wasted sitting in a drawer.
i had wedding and engagment ring's 44 years ago and got jilted so threw them at him not one regret
Both my ex's were too cheap to buy me an engagement ring.
The first wanted the wedding ring back-fair enough-it was his mothers. I still have the second wedding ring-may sell it for money one day.
The wedding ring sits unworn in a box (I feel it's tainted now), the engagement ring I gave to my daughter once she was 18.
Lost mine two years ago but if it still here I'd probably keep it and pass it as a heirloom or melted it to form another one.
