tomorrow is the last day, I did hope to get them down today but my"helper" has gone out so looks ik tomorrow.House always looks so bare once they have gone.

All interior decs came down 1st Jan, the outside lights two days later because it was raining. All packed away in the loft now.

where can I recycle my xmas cards this year, havent seen any notices or do they just go in the recycle bin with the dustman ?

I never put any up, the cards we received were recycled on Boxing Day.

Hospicecare Charity shops recycle cards all year.

I put some bits away last weekend and bought new fresh flowers.

Today I've collected up all the cards and I'm all done now. There are collection boxes in M&S (for Woodland Trust) and Asda (for Salvation Army) where all cards can be recycled. There may well be others but these are the two I've actaully seen.

I was going to take them down today but Mr S has just come through and said it's so cosy and cheerful in the front room with the tree etc that I'm leaving it now until tomorrow :)

We just took the outside lights down, OH pulled on my lovely red ones and broke them :(

PHEW! Just sat down! Started at 11am and its taken Hubby and I until now to get everything both inside and outside all packed away. OH is just hoovering up, both completely cream crackered ......... how long does it take the people with the "show" decorations put up for Charity to get them down I wonder! Horrid job, cuppa tea the reward methinks!
