I have never 'met' anyone famous. Seen a few famous people at airports but that's about it.
Graeme McDowell, a very pleasant down-to-earth bloke
I've bumped into a few when I lived in London, but we don't have many in York.
Vinnie Jones at a country fair. He said Hello. I met Peter Beardsley in Disneyland...he was chatty. It's easy to be chatty when you have kids with you. I bumped into Sid Owen (Ricky from EE) in Thailand, he was a bit of a cock, someone who I wouldn't talk to.
Who's Graeme McDowell, sibton?
Golfer, playin the Ryder Cup at the minute. jj really fancies him but only if he wins
We have a celeb as a neighbour, nice guy, dog sits for us when he can, looks after the place if we go away, or his man does, and we do similar for him.
Not out walking as such, but bumped into (literally)Prince Charles at work (Faslane sub base).Very nice bloke, even apologised for getting in the road. Not much security around at the time.
Oh, yes. I only know Rory and the other fella (American one. Nice looking)
Many..many...but the one that stands out was Idi Amin.....a HUGE bloke, polite, well spoken and apologized for being late for his consultation....I didn't b0llock him as he had a bigger bloke as a body guard with a even bigger curved sabre.
The late Richard Whitely once asked me to babysit,he was lovely.
I've seen and served a few famous people in the shop where I work.

Actress Liz Carling. Derek Thompson (He used to present Channel 4 Racing). Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson. A few Footballers (Past and present Middlesbrough) including Sunderland Captain Lee Cattermole (He's a bit of a muppet...). I've seen Roy "Chubby" Brown a few times but not spoken to him directly.

I also did a meet-n-greet with Phil "The Power" Taylor in Darlington, but he scarpered before I could get his Autograph.
Dennis Waterman flirting till Rula pulled rank
hello again TWR.

as a cinema manager in the west-end during the mid eighties, i saw celebrities very frequently ... either as attendees to their movies when premiering, or as normal people just coming in to watch a film like any other person.
Bah Humbug today. Celebrity is a very overused word IMO
There are several here and they just mix in with us, we see them shopping etc but in the 70's we used to party with some of them ie Leslie Phillips, Kenneth Williams,David "Kid" Jensen, Denholm Elliot (loved me cos I called him Denim) and more.
I saw Rowan Atkinson cross the road near St Paul's. He didn't recognise me....
Seen a few, saw Cleo Rockas often when I worked at Canary Wharf (think she lives round there).

Saw Denise Welsh at a railway station, as she always seems friendly & bubbly on TV we smiled & nodded & said 'hello Denise' & carried on walking (were'nt going to hassle her or anything) she told us to 'f*ck off' & started hurling abuse down the platform at us, i was shocked.

See Lorne Spicer (if she can be described as a celeb!) frequently at the boot sales as she lives near me. Shes not very friendly either.
A few live near me, Frank Warren, Little Mo from EE and Rupert Grint but I've never bothered speaking to them though.

I saw Jeff Brazier outside his house once and he nodded and said "Alright mate"....my son was impressed with that lol
