what are some of your best memories??????
motly mine is when i was young,waking up xmas morning,just a couple of presents each,pj's,book and a one toy,i loved my little plastic sewing machine you winded up by hand.
the day i arrived back hoe from australia after 2.1/2 years and seeing my mother,it was lovely.

The usual childhood Christmases and the smell of the real Christmas tree when we got up in the mormings. And more recently my lovely dog surviving a serious op and coming through it with flying colours, that's a good memory.

Capsizing a boat me and my dad were in. The photos are great :-)

I have loads of good memories.
The sheer energy, vivacity and utter joy of being young, unsullied by cynicism and worry, (or bills).

A good concert where you are taken to another place, albeit temporarily.

The company of a small but trusted circle of friends, and the ensuing laughter.

The dressing room banter and infectious joy of being with good people after leaving behind a higher level of football to play in a team of close friends.

so have i ummmm,mostly when i was a child,we were very poor,but had a great upbringing.
Christmas morning and my dad sneaking down early to light the log fire. Unfortunately he managed to set fire to the chimney and so we ended up with a housefull of fireman at 7am and my mother offering them all sherry! Most amusing!
falling in love for the first time, being 18 and careless and changing girlfriends way too often, my first car, learning to ride a horse with my father, graduating from university, meeting the woman, my nephew being born and seeing how wonderful life is and findig answerbank
Poor? When I was a lad we had to get up three hours before we went to bed.......
Taking a bag full of picnic stuff with my mates and walking miles and then sitting in a field and scoffing it all...and the smell of dandelion and burdock, we always took a bottle of that to share
Travelling on a steam train again - the first time since our childhood. The distinctive smell of the smoke, heads out of the window, watching the guard blow his whistle and wave his flag, noise of the chugging engine and the fantastic tooting whistle when approaching the station ............ worth every penny! OH and I were children again!
When I first came to London to stay with what's now my ex, the mornings with people reading through plays in her flat, bacon and eggs, everything busy and creative and positive, everything stretching ahead of me like a new start, easily some of the happiest memories I'll ever have.
Being overwhelmed by the sight of Hong Kong at night viewed from the deck of a ship moored off-shore.

i remember when i was about 9/10 our class was putting on a show,a maypole dance,everyone needed a straw hat but i did'nt have one so i was the only one in the class left out,i was so upset,but at going home time a teacher called me in and said she would lend me a straw hat and i was just to try and get a pretty dress,so i ran home and told my mum.the night of the concert my mum presented me with a brand new dress,it had little baskets of flowers over it,i felt like a princess,i was so happy stepping onto that stage and feeling equal with everyone se,i will always remember that.

Similar to McMouse I remember sitting on the rear deck of a cruise ship at midnight, me and my mate both in our 'jamas drinking exceedingly large G&T's whilst looking at the sights and listening to the sounds of Istanbul...........absolutely magical.

the day i got my divorce through
I remember wanting Mousetrap and one Christmas I was shouted into my parents' room and there it was, all set up.
That was a wonderful moment for me and I still smile when I think about it.
working 5 and a half days a week in the record shop and then on a saturday having lots of choice of places to go, the Somewhere Else or el ternelle in southport, annabelles, anywhere in Liverpool, always lost of footie players to tap off with, loads of opportunities for paties and holidays, riding home through maghull at 3am one sunday morning in a white XJ6 and driving over the roundabouts with my feet sticking out of the drivers window.......
.......that was 1976 and you could do anything then,
