After watching the 2nd episode of Occupation last night, I must admit I've had a night of horrible vivid dreams. Whereas the first episode ended with a very funny scene (I'm (naked) English, from Kirkby..) last night's ended with a beheading by the Iraqui's of one of the central characters. Although it didn't go into graphic detail - just ended where the knife was brought out after the victim's speech, my dream was very vivid. It certainly brought back memories of poor Ken Bigley's for-real fate.

What a great series - can't wait for the final episode tonight. However it has left me with a nasty taste in my mouth & I shall be thinking of poor Ken all day....
Is there anyone out there watching this?

I've never heard of it until now. Don't think I've got the stomach for something like that.

I still continue to shudder when I think about the fates of Ken Bigley and Margaret Hassan (?). They suffered barbaric and totally unjustified deaths.
Hi salla,

I've been watching this. It is funny at times making you laugh out loud and serious too, making you realise what goes on in those countries and how hard it is for soldiers returning home. Although it is not a perfect portrayl of our soldiers it is an intriguing watch and I too can't wait for tonights episode which I hope has a happy ending!

Me too CAJ, but somehow I doubt :-(

I laughed out loud (lol?) at the first episode, the 2nd one's ending genuinely made me feel horrified, I hope the 3rd one is more upbeat. What great acting performances from the main characters though?
I doubt it will be happy too but you never know.

I definitly laughed out loud at the naked part too! I agree last nights was more serious. I guess if a programme can make you think deeply about something then it is well acted. I must admit I sat there after the programme and thought of all the people that have been killed, how terrified they must have been and their families. It is brilliantly acted, the fact James Nesbitt was in it drew me to it at first, but there are many other good actors in it too.
When is the next episode on then? And what channel?
Hi NoMercy,

The final episode is on tonight on BBC 1 at 9pm (I think)
Here's a clip and info NoMercy

Oh bu66er - it was only a 3-parter !

Well, I'm planning to stay in tonight so I'll catch it if I remember. Have a good day ladies, I'm off out now. xx

to be honest, if you haven't seen the first 2 episodes Mercy, it isn't really worth tuning in to see the last episode - you will have missed too much.
Cheers for the link CAJ1. x
See you later NoMercy, have a nice day. I agree with sallabananas you may have missed too much but maybe there'll be a repeat of all the episodes on BBC3? xx
I'll see what the last episode is like, and if I fancy it, I'll get in on DVD when it is inevitably released.
Watch it on Iplayer or if you are on Virgin it is on catch up on demand
