What toys did you have the most fun with when you was a child. I've just seen a thread about space-hoppers which prompted me to ask this.
Can anyone remember what you called the hoop you put round your ankle and you skipped and jumped as fast as you could over a ball? We seemed to
have more fun with really cheap toys when you think of the prices of kids toys now!

Toys were quite sexist weren't they? Girls had dolls, toy hoovers etc to get them ready for motherhood whilst boys had action men and cars and train sets.
Has to be Barbie!!

Later on though it would be my bike... Everyday I was out on it. Not really a toy though I suppose...
My brother had a tea set and he turned out ok! :-)
A piece of slate from a roof, used to create a game of hopscotch in the middle of the road (dead end street). Also loads of games bouncing two balls against a wall ( terraced housing), as well as French cricket.
^ just like Ross from Friends!
Kerplunk, buckeroo, hang on harvey .....but they all belonged to the posh kid next door :0/
My brother never dressed up as a woman and asked us to call him Bea though Prudie!! :-) haha!
yes sorry, I remembered the 'I am Bea' song afterwards :-)
No cupid - I had a train set, I loved it. Hornby - I wish I still had it, it'd be worth a few bob now.
I am a lot older than you tinks but never ever saw the point of a tea set. Got a miniature one sitting in a cupboard that must be 60 years old. Never used. My toyswere books, books and more books. However loved roaming the neighbourhood, bomb sites were great, falling off slides and witches' hats in the park. No, not a grassed area, expanse of concrete covered in gravel. The scars are blue! A brick wall, a tennis ball and a length of rope were riches.
Crossfire... and blisters.
I am Bea, I drink tea, won't you dance around with me?!

I watch too much Friends! Haha!
Dressing up in mums heels!
