Waxing Disaster - Help please!

I had a waxing session on the weekend but now one area has had a bad reaction. It's come up with a big sore red rash and the skin is very tight. It feels like snake skin to touch. I've tried lots of moisturiser but it doesn't seem to have helped. Unfortuntely it's an area I can't really keep covered up so it's kind of obvious (to me at least). Can anyone recommend anything I can put on it to bring the rash down and make it feel less sore?

Try sliced cucumber.
Hydrocortisone cream 1%.

I think it is available over the counter.
Try a burkha, covers everything except eyes.
Witch hazel is very good for rashes

Cucumber would be a bit awkward.

Thanks Sqad. I've some Eumovate (0.5%) in my handbag so I'll try that until I can get out to get something a litle stronger.
Sammy.....Eumovate 0.5% will do fine.......it is a corticosteroid.

Ok, good. Thanks. Didn't even remember it was in my bag until you suggested it.
...think the Eumovate is 0.05% clobetasone - at least,it should be!
Question Author
Oh yes, I missed the second 0. It's 0.05%.

Still, I'll try and see if it has any effect.
Just to explain - it should be more effective than 1% hydrocortisone, since a 0.05% clobetasone is a "stronger" drug than the 1% hydrocortisone. That's why it's not available without prescription whereas the 1% hydrocortisone is.

Oh! Lol. Confusing. I assumed it was one of the many I'd previously bought over the counter for bouts of dermatitis but I guess this little tube must be the one the doc gave me for it. Hopefully that'll do the trick then. Thanks again.
Yep id have said boots sell Hc45 (looks like e45) that will help xx
Try some sudocream. Mild but effective.
