No idea.

Is it swollen and what treatment have you been having for it?

Afternoon Sqad - initially when it happened I iced it and arniced it - have taken Ibpurofen (though I have to limit them as they upset my stomach). Apart from that, nothing {:o(

Afternoon Den.......is it swollen?
LOL...we crossed.

It should settle within the next 2 weeks........I don't suppose you have rested it ;-)

Not really, Sqad, I am always on the go, but have sat down with foot up every now and again.

I may have to fly over to Menorca and have therapy in your Olympic sized pool.........{:o)
the less you rest it elevated, the longer it will take to heal..... go back to the basics of RICE. Rest Ice Compression Elevation

Thank you Woofy - I know I am my own worst enermy, I get bored very quickly but I think that may be the answer. Though saying that, when I am in bed, it still hurts, and I am resting it then.
I know what it is like..................I broke my little toe & cracked all across my foot 4 weeks ago been in plaster ever since got 2 more weeks to go!!! Thank god for Fifty Shades :)

brucie - its no good you looking at the Dulux Colour Card, decorating will not do that foot any good......{;o)
When I fell and damaged ligaments in my ankle it took over a year to heal.
resting it doesn't guarantee it will stop the pain, an icepack will help that, also paracetamol if you can't do ibuprofen. What the rest does is stops continually irritating the damage. Have you got it strapped up?
Towie..I did exactly the same couple of years ago..you should have it X-Rayed to make sure nothing is broken or cracked..I do know that it's very painful..the first night I did it(falling down a couple of stairs) when I got up in the night the pain was so bad I thought I was going to pass out..and I've never done that in my life.get it x-rayed to be on the safe side.
anyone mentioned an xray yet?

the pain may be trying to tell you something!

Thank you for all your answers. I am wondering whether I have broken something.
You tell that son of yours to run after you!! Xx
Probably better if you have broken something as ligament damage can take an age to heal properly.
if you have and you are able to walk on it, then the treatment will be more or less the same.
When I damaged my ligaments it was extremely painful to walk of uneven ground or cobbles, for example.
