Instead of sitting on the sidelines saying No,NO,NO, if the UK had become an integral part of the EU and part of the single currency and provided a bit of common sense and leadership there would never have been a situation where banana republics like Greece were allowed in to the Euro. They cheated and lied their way in and now Europe has to bail them out.
Would you invest in a company whose entire board had been sacked - twice - for corruption and whose auditors had refused to sign the accounts for as long as anyone can remember?

Andrew, had we done as you suggested, joined in and adopted the Euro, why would that have made everything hunky dory. Our politicians can see that is isn't the be all and end all. Other countries are also struggling with the Euro, not just Greece. They should not have been allowed to join, and yes they lied, but what other country has, this is just the beginning i am sure of a meltdown. The single currency was a fools dream, and the fact is had we joined who is to say we wouldn't be in as bad a position as Greece, Spain, Italy.
