I dont usually spend much on clothes for myself, and even then, Im not ashamed to say I always mooch around the charity shops first. I had £60 of vouchers to spend from Xmas so I deceide to treat myself for a change but Im afraid I way overspent them. On Fri went to Scarborough and Sun went to Hornsea freeport, so over the weekend this is what I bought

1 coat from M & S
1 coat from charity shop ( £3 and M& S as well, what a bargain !)
1 jumper from M & S
3 pairs of trousers from Bon Marche
2 silk scarves
3 new bras
3 pairs of new shoes
1 cuddly toy (duck) for my nephew whom I will be visiting shortly

My OH feeling left out, bought some new shoes

My excuse is that now Ive lost so much weight, I need a whole new wardrobe and this is just the start.
Ive been clearing out from my wardrobe and 2 sack fulls to go to charity shop
As I say Ive always felt guilty about buying clothes for myself and have managed for years with the same things.

Has any Aber ever been on a worse (or better) shopping spree than this ?

Errrrrrrr, Yes. To both.
Had to giggle when you said cuddly toy!!!

Went to Matalan's sort of seconds shop once and spent 25 squidge. Came away with a load of undergarments and trousers and cardi, blouses and the like.
I felt guilty but OH also got a pair of shoes :D
Many times, especially when my girls were young. :)
Think my record was a coat, a jacket 5 blouses, 10 t shirts two cardigans two skirts and three pairs of trousers. A multi option suit set two bags and three pairs of shoes along with suitable accessories like scarves brooches etc but it was a work wardrobe when starting a new job...

Youve just reminded me Rowan, I still need a new handbag. Better get to them shops before it rains. See ya all later
I am a compulsive on-line shopper and yes I have gigantic shopping sprees sometimes. Do I feel guilty about buying things for myself - no, not at all. I don't spend much on myself other than on clothes and shoes and I like to be fashionable. I hate shopping in actual shops though.
Have mini sprees each season though usually primark for t's in the seasons colours and a handbag /largebag and costume jewellry.
This 'season' my spree has been bigger than normal. My funds are going to be smaller very soon - I am stockpiling!!!

Mind you my sprees are usually jeans, shoes, tops. I had a wonderful spree in George at Asda (I hate Asda, but George is good) Came back with loads of bras which were £4.50 each!!!
if I ever lost weight I would be out there buying new clothes like a shot.

Unfortunately it has never happened. But good for you, spend all you like, it's a great reason.
Are £4.50 bras any good Lottie?
Yes ummmm! They are fine and pretty too!! I was totally surprised at the George range at the prices of everything. Have bought about four tops from them as well ranging between £8.00 and £10.00. Not T shirts either!!!
I have a large bust and george bras cope very well can get a pretty set with knickers for around a tenner
Too much info please, Rowan ;-)
I went to asda to get cat litter and spent 83

lol McFluff, you must really love your cat

have just got back and bought yet another pair of trousers. Id better not buy too many as I am hoping to lose yet more weight. And a new handbag (mini holdall) couldnt resist it. Im staying in for the rest of the day till shops close now. Thats it. Off on my birthday break in London tomorrow until Sat. Watch out London, here I come
Agree about the bras from asda!! Xx

And when i had it id spend a disgusting amount of money on myself and i enjoy it too!!!! Often buy things in other colours an im an ebay addict! Also love buying stuff for others too xxx
Cat litter £7.25 rest of bill Gu puds
I think it sounds as thought you got a lot for your money to be honest. We all deserve a treat now and again so you shouldn't feel guilty (especially as it was yours to spend.)
