Can you catch shingles off someone else ?, because both shingles & chickenpox have 'blisters' & I know you're still infectious until your chickenpox blisters have all dried up

Yes, it's highly infectious.
^^ No, it's contagious not infectious, at the stage when the blisters erupt.

The blisters contain varicella-zoster virus which can cause chickenpox in someone who is non immune, but shingles is caused by reactivation of a previous infection with the virus, so you can't catch shingles from someone else.
