which one ?
Strap. That's about it really.

Have you broke your finger? Ouch...
What type?....simple, compound?
depends on whether you go for any ;o).

I broke mine in Sainsburys a few years ago - shockingly painful, but......I was 3/4 way through the shopping so i went to the freezer section grabbed a bag of peas and carried on!

I never bothered getting anything done and it got better on it's own and is only a wee tiny bit crooked!!

@anne - middle finger
@ ummmm no thank goodness
@ sqad -no idea but let's say simple
I'v always avoided putting any of my fingers into dykes for fear they might get broken.
How did you break yours?
has it been confirmed by x.ray ?
I presume that you have had an X-Ray to confirm the fracture?

I agree with annie0000

lol does anyone read the answers - i haven't broken my finger!
I broke mine by forcibly battering the end of it onto one of the metal bars of the trolley, I am sure there are other ways which may or not include shoving it into a hole in a dyke.
Sandy - you perv, lol
i know YOU havnt broken your finger !
To the pure all things are pure.
I was thinking of the little Dutch boy who saved Holland from inundation by plugging a dyke with his finger.
who has then, bednobs?!
Yeah of course you were Sandy !
bloody idiot - the Dutch kid who stuck his finger in the dyke.....

How to annoy a Dutch person - tell them they live on 10,000 years of German and Swiss shyte.
I broke two fingers years back. They were strapped together with the next finger and a lolly pop stick. I broke one finger last year and just had it strapped.

my mum fell over when she was over here looking after the dogs (while i was at my luxury butler serviced spa hotel lol)
she landed on her finger and since then can't bend or straighten it. She is of the "older" generation (you know those ones who would think calling an ambulance was an imposition if you were having a heart attck)
therefore, despite me recommending to her to go to the MIU, she refuses as she dosen't want to trouble anyone. I am trying to advise her on what to do to help it, but shockingly, having been a nurse for 15 ish years, i've never done first aid or orthopaedics. I thought the treatment would probably just strapping it to the next door one
If she flatly refuses to go then strapping is the best that you can do.
well I believe you Sandy....why would'nt I?!!
