I broke my finger a while back, i was in plaster up to my elbow for 3 wks, its was removed then the finger was buddy taped. Thing is my finger is bent downwards now and i cannot bend it at all. Does this mean i am going to have to have it re-broken and straightened ? They were initially going to operate because of the nature of the break. Im waiting to go back to Orthopedics but in the mean time any help would be appreciated :-)

You didn't say whether it was proximal, middle or distal phalanx.....however, it looks, from your description that it will need screwing under anaesthesia.

Haha, good to see people still have a good sense of humour. The bit thats broke is a straight break where your ring would sit, the bit below your knuckle. They did say it was going to be plated/wired but when looking closer at the xray they noticed that i had a cyst that had burst when the finger broke and that they wouldnt be able to do that as it had left a hole. The finger is quite soft where its broke.
