I have a brown mole on my cheek which has coarse black hairs growing out. I cut with nail scissors to trim. What would be involved in having this mole roved? I did have another one removed 30 odd years ago and that required a surgical procedure in hosital.

I know someone who had a facial mole removed under local anaesthetic... couple of butterfly stitches... now you could never tell she had the mole...
The face heals quickly. I had a facial cyst removed after living with it for 15 years. Wish I had done it much sooner. Was done in day surgery.
try plucking the hair instead of cutting it. i have a raised mole on my face with hairs growing out of it too. i pluck the hair and call the mole my beauty spot :)
Depends where on the face it is located and I presume that you are having it done for cosmetic reasons.

If it were me, I would want it done by a Consultant surgeon, preferably a Plastic Surgeon.

It could easily be done under local anaesthesia.
i have the same problem but i call it a beauty spot, rather than a mole :)
i shave mine off - too chicken to pluck!
My mole went into overdrive after I had babies - it spent two decades sprouting hair you could cut cheese with. Plucking it was like pulling eye teeth. But it's fading away now, as I suppose I must be. Just a little pluck now and then...but for a typo just like me ahem ahem....
My Dr's surgery do mole removals.
It does depend on the shape and size of the mole though, whether the GP can do it - go have a chat with them.
Presuming it's a healthy mole...

I have loads of moles....my Dr has logged the ones on my back.
OH and I have taken photos of ours, especially the back ones, so we can keep an eye on them. I have one on my foot which gets particular attention, foot moles can be dodgy if they start to change (so I was told).
Really? I have one on the sole of my foot. It's not raised, so I call it a freckle...
Umm, mine is more a freckle really, but quite large, so I count it with the moles. Yes apparently, a foot lesion needs keeping an eye on, my GP told me that if it changes, it could be bad news for cancers elsewhere in the body. Probably no different from any other skin cancer markers, but I never took much notice of the foot marking before that - it's not as "in my face" as all my other moley things.
I'll keep my eye on that one then....
