I`ve heard about people having panic attacks before attending weddings, parties and social nights out etc but if someone suffers them afterwards like 5am the next morning ie sickness and diarrhea even without drinking, what should be the next step?

You`re right LL, it`s probably anxiety attacks, she`s seeing the doctor weds
anxiety shouldnt be underestimated...panic attacks are awful, i wonder if also these symptoms could be irritable bowel syndrome?..it can be caused/brought on by anxiety i believe. If its causing problems and affecting going out on days when its bad then there is medication for it.
She'll be OK Elvis. Try to take her mind off these social occasions. Get her occupied thinking of something out. Go for a walk, dance round the house.

What worries her about these occasions. Lack of confidence? Crowds of people? Have you had chats about it?

It`s only started happening the last few months, she`s been through a bit of a rough time what with her mum having a health scare and then herself being bedridden for a week with a trapped nerve.

She lets things get to her and I suspect doing something different from a normal night in gets her into this state of anxiety
