Not sure if this is on the right topic - but I'm new to this site and just wanted to know why some people have got "star ratings" next to their names?  I have a few and I don't know how they have got there?  Thanks!

The person who posted the question will sometimes rate your answer by 1, 2 or 3 stars depending on how helpful they think you have been

Oooh, can someone explain to me how you star someone? Someone gave me a brilliant answer and all I could find was the 'report this answer' button!

Hermia: This is the way I do it.....You have to sign into your own profile and you should be given a choice of "threads i'm involved in" ; "my questions" "questions I've answered" etc etc. if you go into "My questions" choose one of your questions you've posted and then you can rate people....

hope that makes sense....I'm not the best at explaining things! lol
