I want to try the Special K, Drop A Jean Size diet; which says to eat a bowl of Special K for breakfast and lunch and then for your third to be balanced. Only I don't really know what a balanced meal consists of.

Any ideas that are easy to prepare?

Thanks.

anything that is not a ready meal or fast food.

Chicken stir fry and vegatables, Spagetti bol and salad. Vegetable curry (low fat sauce). Grilled chicken or fish with veg or salad. Anything really that has bit of meat, fish or chicken, some carbs (pasta, rice, potatoe, bread) and lots of veg or salad.

hello. i've started the exact same diet today, although have adjusted it to have a banana with my breakfast bowl of cereal. I am planning on having grilled white meat with pasta/potatoes and lots of veggies for dinner. Basically, a balanced meal means getting in a bit of each food type into your meal: i.e. meat, veg, carbs etc. that's my interpretation of it anyway!

cant wait to drop a jean size in 2 weeks! that is if i'm not fed up with Special K twice a day for two weeks!

Good luck!
I know someone who did this diet a few years ago, but i think it was cheerios instead (it was a guy). If you stick to the diet you will lose an load of weight. Good luck.
Please, please don't do this diet - i did the kelloggs one and felt DREADFUL! Try it for a couple of days if you have to but check the sugar content in special k, there was so much hidden sugar in the cereal i was eating that i'd get sugar highs then crash about 4 in the afternoon, i had pounding headaches, blurred vision and felt that i was sleep walking the whole time, driving home was like a blur. You really would be better off doing a weightwatchers points which is about balancing a healthy diet, instead of something like this or the atkins. More often than not you'll also find that you'll lose the weight quickly but as soon as you start to eat like a normal human again, it'll go straight back on. Good luck, whatever you decide!

First of all, ask yourself, do you really need to drop a jean size? Many of these diets invole sudden loss of breasts, just look at (sorry I cannot remember here name but she plays Bridget Jones) Bridget Jones (Bridget Jones Diary 1+2, size between C-F) versus Roxy Hart (Chicago size AA-A) That was after a serious weight loss which did not suit here, if you were made to be skinny but put on weight then go ahead, if you weren't made to be skinny then it's not worth it, you will end up looking worse, if you already are skinny then WhAt ThE hElL aRe YoU dOiNg!?!?!?!?

Sorry if I sound too pushy but my older sister is a size 6-8 and thinks she is fat! Nobody agrees and she wont eat out. And, not just saying this, but she is one of the prettiest people I know and was going to do modelling but lost her confidence although she did get her portfolio.

So my advice is don't diet unless you are unhealthily overwieght which I sincerely doubt you are.

balanced diet means not eating the same thing for breakfast and lunch. the reason it works is because it cuts calories, but you'll get bored of it and weight will come back when you stop the diet.
