Not sure how to describe this but here goes.

recently i noticed that as soon i lie down to sleep i feel disorientated, then when i shut my eyes and after 10 seconds or so i feel as though im going to pass out. as soon i feel my whole body is about to switch off i force myself to wake up incase i dont wake up, now this has happened several times in one month now and im just wondering if thats normal?

i did use to have sleep paralysis once a month but that stopped over 6 months ago because i know how to control it , any connection?

are you overtired? it can happen that your body muscles are so desperate for rest that they relax too quickly, and maybe this is causing your sub-conscious brain to freak out a bit. not a very medical description of my theory!

Hi Mandi
I think you might be right, i have been extremely tired lately well for the past few months, as im working over 40hrs a week! i think youve put my mind at rest. :)
Get your blood pressure (BP) checked. I used to get simalar simptoms - now all gone since my gp put me tablets for high BP.
