All this talk of food on JJ's thread made me think of cravings during pregnancy.

Any weird ones to confess?

Mine was mint sauce on absolutely everything.
No food cravings, just the smell of petrol
Well not pregnancy ones but I did have a bit of a phase of putting homous and/or thai dipping sauce (hot one not the original which is for wimps) on everything for a while there.
My sister-in-law used to eat sponges, actually eat them...
Smash and beans. Then I would promptly puke it up...
I get cravings every now and again - even though I don't have a bun in the oven. It's mostly curry cravings with me.

Funnily I also drank pints of milk and I absolutely hated it before and after pregnancy. (not laced with mint sauce though fortunately!!)
i didnt really have any weird ones. I ate way too many McMuffins and drank too many milkshakes though. Oh and loved pickled beetroot.

I heard of one woman who went into a panic when, after fighting urge for months, ate some pot pourri!

Oh barb, the smell of petrol makes me heave - always has done.
I am the same as barb. It was the smell of certain things like perfume.
I used to sit clutching a bottle and sniffing away.

Just thought, I wonder if me eating loads of mint sauce and vinegar during pregnancy is the reason why my son absolutely hates both!!!
could be, Lotty. Though i went right off mushrooms in my first pregnancy and little CRX hates them
As a non-parent, I'll just make the tea and cakes for this thread.
It does me now but when I was pregnant I used to offer to take all the family cars to get them filled up with petrol......surprisingly I did have a healthy baby who hasnt turned into a petrol head!
