high crp is indicative of inflammation, for example infection or inflammatory disorders

There are normal proteins in the blood and abnormal proteins.

Has you husband got a high level of normal proteins or the prescence of abnormal proteins?

CRP (C Reactive Protein) if raised is an indication of the likelihood of heart disease.

Sketchy, but best I can do.
p.s fondest......I should have said heart disease AND stroke, that is why he is having a Brain MRI to exclude a vascular problem.

thanks for your answers everyone, squad617 you said about heart disease he did have an ecg and said it was normal and went on treadmill which was normal,i was thinking it could be his heart as he smokes about 25 ciggarettes a day, and when he gets the pain really bad he gets clammy and vomits. his gp said that they were high level protein.his brother died 3 years ago of heart attack sudden he was 45 my husband is 54.he is having his scans on 19th may then i have to wait for consultant to make appointment, i am worried, would his gp tell me more if i went back to see him.
OK.....CPR is an indicator of probable FUTURE heart disease, even if the ECG and Stress ECG are normal.

As I have said the MRI of his brain is looking for a vascular problem to explain the numbness in his left arm.

Yes, if you returned to your GP he would answer questions, but of course without the MRI scan he would be at a loss.
