she can lift, but has to lift correctly, bending her knees.
Pregnancy isnt a disability.

things to avoid
asprin and a lot of medicines 9always read the label)
pate and liver
uncooked meats
prepacked salads must be washed
runny eggs and food with raw egg in like fresh mayonaise or mousse (helmans mayo is fine)
mould ripened cheeses
unpasturised cheese and milk.

for a start.
if shes in the UK then she can ask her employer to do a risk assessment on her job.
eating pate to many eggs alcahol fags and stress

she is scared of telling her boss she is pregnant as they are chinese and would look down on her. I dont think they do risk assesments to be honest. those sort of places they just have a general one to produce if and when required.
well they will found out in 9 months. But as i said, as long as its not silly weights and she is lifting in correct way she should be fine

ok cool I will let her know. thanks
Gravy, are you and your gf still in Hong Kong?. If so it might be a good idea to look on local websites to see what she should avoid, food wise, during pregnancy and what your local ante natal services have to offer. Its obviously very early days but it doesn't harm to find out

no im in Hong Kong she is in Scotland. we are planning to be together all the time around May
if shes in scotland then tell her to speak to her GP surgery and see when theyd like her to see midwife. Its usually at about 8-10 weeks.

They may also be able to send her further information on what she should avoid
