I feel fat...

... literally. I have my hands down my trouser front right now, because my belly itches for some strange reason & I'm giving it a good scratch. Yes, I am in the office, but am alone at the moment, so am not offending anyone with my fumblings.

I have put on 4lbs over the xmas period & boy, can I tell. If I'm stood up I look ok, especially if I remember to pull the stomach muscles in, but when I am sat down I have these 'rolls' - not attractive, not good & not clever.

How can I lose this belly fat without eating or drinking less? Would 500 abdo crunches a day do it?

Did you see that tv prog last night with Claire sweeny putting on the weight for an experient, she must have been mad?
I don't just feel fat........................I am fat!
=-(

I missed the programme - wanted to watch it, but my befst friend came round my house to announce she's getting married. Again.

My weight is ok for my height, my BMI is spot on, but it's all concentrated on the belly area. So unfair. If I could squeeze some of it upwards & some downwards, a bit like the magic knicker effect but permanent rather than temporary, I would be ok.

I cannot, will not, diet. As soon as I think the word diet, a bubble pops up above my head with pictures of pizza, pies, butties, cheese ..... Do you think liposuction would hurt?
get a Slendertone belt.. it's like magic if you use it every day.

it won't make you lose weight but it gives your stomach muscles a right old pounding, and it will tighten them up.. if you remember/bother to use it!
When I'm standing up my belly is flat but when I sit down I have rolls. I put it down to having a short torso. I'm 5ft6 and my BF is 6ft but I have longer legs than him.
I used to feel fat ... whenever I cuddled my Ex ... ha ha ha !!

No, seriously ... 4lbs isn't too much Salla ... if you go back to your pre-Christmas "normal" eating habits, I'm sure it will just gradually disappear.

Or ... if your office chair has arms ... take a tight grip of the arms and raise your knees up and down. You'll feel it working the midriff very quickly (although you might look a bit silly).

Alternatively, come down here and spend a few hours pounding the pebbles on the beach, and it will just vanish!

I had one sara - I used it religiously for a while. I had it on the highest setting for up to 2 hours at a time sometimes. I used to lay in bed watching tv with my belly twitching under the covers & every now & again emitting an 'ouch' when the tingle got a bit too much. Can't say I noticed much of a difference, & now the damn thing's worn out.

I tried powerplates at the gym last year - I quite liked the idea of 10 minutes a day on them & no real effort involved, but once again by the time I had parted with about 75 I still felt no benefit.
Truth is, I like my food and am basically lazy. I don't mind swimming, cycling, walking etc in the summer but other than that my idea of exercise is munching on a cheese sarnie whilst reading a book & exercising my Kegel muscles every now & then (the only ones I do exercise regularly).

I can't jog jogger jayne. I get out of puff.
I can walk fast, cycle, swim for hours - but have never been able to master the art of running.
at least you shouldn't find incontinence a problem!

you're going to have to face up to the facts.. you're being a lazy cow, and you don't care. welcome to my world.

there aren't many women who can't produce a small roll whilst sitting. you're slim.. hey, you're just like me!
Question Author
You are so right - I am a lazy cow and I don't much want to change that.

I will have to learn to love my belly fat. I am loving it very much at the moment - am still scratching away & it's really rather soothing. My colleague will arrive at 9 so I supose I will have to stop.
I feel like and look like the michelin man right now!!!!

I have put on some weight too and am layered up against the cold.......

Hope I don't fall over on the ice, as I will start rolling...

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down...
(Someone mentioned weebles yesterday funnygirl - I'm not necessarily calling you one!!)
Morning sallabananas , you need the same tummy bug I had over new year , I lost weight with it quickly .xxx
how could you lose anymore bigmamma!!! do you even exist now??
Question Author
I know this sounds really weird bigmamma - but I could do with a 4 day dose of the trots. I don't want the vomiting part of it all though - can't stand that; it reminds me of being pregnant. Don't mind a liberal dose of the diarrhoea though so long as I'm within sprinting distance of a loo.
Hee , I know 4get , I just better not go out in a strong wind !
Why is it that women get so horribly FAT,? ? ?
AND disgusting, ?
I know the feeling. I am getting married in 198 days time and me and the changing room mirrors fell out when I was trying on a dress the other day. We have a cross trainer at home, but all I do is look at it. I know I need to lose weight, because I feel uncomfortable. Like you it is settled in the belly area. Can't use having a baby as an excuse because I went straight back to pre pregnancy weight and she is now 14! But don't want to spend my day wobbling or having to wear un sext controlling underwear!
i was shocked how much weight claire sweeny put on .bet she got paid a lot to do that ..watch it on itv catch up .i so need to lose weight as well ..good luck hope u lose it soon .
