Hi dusty, ust got over something! Had my first coffee, have'nt had anything to eat yet though. On the plus side I've lost a couple of pounds!
I've just had my first flu jab so I'm hoping I'll be safe from all that now.

Wishing you, Mrs Dusty and Sachs a speedy recovery xx
OOh it were 'orrible. Bed for 3 days and at least a week before i began to feel anywhere like normal. Wrap up and stay in bed as long as possible.
Hope everyone is feeling better soon. I haven't had it but a couple of my colleagues at work have. I work in a school so there are 1400 children to catch it from :-(
Get yourself down to the local Chinese supermarket and buy a packet of Goldkili instant ginger drink (I'm having a cup now) it's nice as a drink anyway but I think it would be very comforting if you have a cold or a sore throat.
The Cofresh hot and spicy chili crinkle cut crisps hit the spot also.
Get well soon, and early to bed.
I have similar to a runny nose. I have puss weeping out of my anus. It smells like a mixture between rotting flech and faeces. It tast is beyond words though but I am so malnutritioned its the only food I can get. I some times open my colostomy bag to have a smell to see if I could bear eating it but I just cant bring myself to do it today. Oh I am so alone. Laid here on the floor smeared head to to in my own rancid faeces.
I haven't had flu for a while but I am getting over a cold at the moment. I've still got a bit of a sore throat and runny nose. I'm glad it was just a cold though. I find when I get flu it debilitates me.
I've had the flu jab vac too so I'm hoping not to get flu at all .
I hope you're over it dustypuss xxx
Are free flu jabs available anywhere or do I have to pay 15 at Boots to get one?
Free to those at risk tiggs, the elderly, astmatics ect...
That counts me out then. Not sure whether this is fotunate or unfortunate! Lol
I had the jab so hopefully will avoid the flu but felt ropey for a few weeks. Normally starts on friday when I am off work for two days
Is it true that when you get the flu jab you can get flu like symptoms afterwards?
I got them a couple of weeks after, but just took paracetemol. Was worse when the doc gave me the pneumo vaccine at the same time. One in each arm and couldn't move either of them for a few days
I think I'll book some time off work when I go to get mine done. I don't want to add more time off on my sick record! Lol
It is true Tiggs. If it's going to happen it usually comes on within the first 48hrs. Or so I was told by the nurse. I had mine on Tuesday and have been tired and aching all over since. Feel a bit better today though and I'm glad that's the only symptoms I've had.
Ok. Think I'm gonna get it done a couple of weeks before Xmas. I had flu over Xmas once and it completely ruined it for me.
Oh tickledtrout, that flaming pneumonia jab...I had that too and it was a killer. No probs with the flu jab site but the pneumo one....jeez. My arm has only just stopped hurting like hell. It felt like it'd been incessantly punched. Owwww! Thank heavens it's a one off vaccine and lasts a lifetime.
Yea, When Mr TT had it the doc told him to wait in the surgery for 10 minutes to see if he had an allergic reaction. Didn't tell him what happened though so he was very nervous. :-)
