I have been suffering with labyrinthitis for over three mionths now and it is getting to the point where i darn't leave the house. I also suffer with cystic fibrosis and diabetes. My doctor keeps telling me there is nothingb they can do about it. They have giving me no treatment what so ever. Im constantly dizzy 24/7. Is there anything that can be done about this to make my life a bit easier please. Nick

i have a friend who had this problem and she was given tablets but more importantly she was shown head excersises and these helped such a lot.
i would recommend an osteopath.. give one in your area a ring and ask their advice
There are medications available for the symptoms but is there a problem with anything you could take clashing with other medications meaning you can't take them?
i was given prochlorperazine to combat the symptoms of dizziness and nausea when i had labyrinthitis and it did work quite effectively. mine cleared up in about 10 days and i know i felt absolutely awful - i can't imagine how fed up i would be if i had it for as long as you - you have my sympathies and best wishes! as stated previously, your existing medical conditions and prescribed medciation may be affecting your symptoms and length of recovery, but i really don't see how your dr can leave you feeling so rubbish. there is treatment out there for you - tell him/her so! good luck to you and get well soon x
