I had one a couple of years back. I opted not to have a sedative and although it wasn't the most pleasant experience it was over quite quickly and I could get up and go home practically straight away. Hi! I had an endoscopy and as I had a big night out planned I decided to do it without any sedative or general anaesthetic.

It wasnt that bad - it was unpleasant (I gagged alot) but it wasnt painfull at all. I really wouldnt worry if i had to have another

You will be fine!!
