How many months before your 17 can you send off for a provisional driving license?

You can apply for your licence up to 2 months before your licence is due to start - at 16 years and 10 months of age. You cannot start to drive a car until your provisional driving licence has been accepted and in your possession.

A simple google search throws up a plethora of info.
i swear i had a provisional liscence for my moped when i was 16
