Osgood Schlatter Disease. (Squad May Know)

Great nephew was diagnosed with this in his teens. They advised it would go away after he had stopped growing.
He is now 21/22 and it is still there. What treatment is there for this, if any?

Unusual, as it usually disappears, but the main part of treatment is Nsaids when there is a flare up.
Ibuprofen for example 600mgms.
I do not think that there is any operative treatment, but i will check for you.
Just checked, yes there is a minor surgical intervention which may well be helpful.
as squad says above - symptomatic treatment only. my son is 20 and still has this disorder which causes pain and disability. it shouldn't rumble on for much longer and it is awful, so i do wish him all the best.
