..I go to sleep for about 3 hours then toss and turn all night. I've no energy, even brushing my hair makes my arms ache. Fingers and toes are painfull, almost arthritic feeling. I have a dull headache almost all of the time and feel so down in the dumps. I'm seeing the doc next week and guess just wanted a moan. Thanks for 'listening' xx

Do you get any exercise?
I'm so sorry to hear that you are under par and hope your doc manages to get you sorted out.
Welcome to the over 60's club. I do hope you feel better soon x

JJ yes I do get excersize in the form of Coco my big lump of a dog who needs walkies at least trice a day.
Mazies I think you're right it's the over 60 curse, it's come on so suddenly though.
masma,
is this anything to do with what your son is going through possibly? Is the stress tiring you? How is he by the way? x

JJ - Exercise, even my brain is turning to mush ;-)
i hope you soon feel on top form masma. its awfull when your feeling down and so tired. I hope you have a lovely long peacefull 8 hours tonight. bless ya x
do you have diabetes or thyroid problems, as these can be quite debilitating.
Lack of proper sleep causes havoc with the body. Perhaps if doc does some blood tests, these should rule out the above.
quassia could be right, masma - you've had a lot of worry and contention to come with lately.
I'm only joking Masma. I'm over 60...but I get up at 5am and dont really stop all day. Are you eating properly? Maybe a trip to the Docs might be a good idea. Also I always feel like that when the Seasons change. I have no explanation for that but it always happens. Goodluck with it anyway xx
Hello Avril :) You will always get a chance to moan on here. I felt like that before I was 60! But then I might not be as old as Mazie - lol (High Mazie x). Sounds as though your appointment at the doctor's is the best thing. Make sure you explain everything to him/her and see what the suggestions are. You have had a lot on your plate and were it not for dear Coco you would be feeling further down in the dumps. Wishing you better things really soon, take casre of yourself, Viv ♥

Thanks for all your replies - I did wonder about Thyroid problems as I'm cold most of the time too.
I also thought that after so many years of worry about my boy (almost 7 weeks now), my body has gone into some type of shut down.
do you eat properly, are anaemic, any number of things could be going on, stress is a big factor in sleeplessness, i wish you better.
Hi ttfn, great to see you xx

As ttfn says go and see the doctor and start from there x
I wake up 3 or 4 times in the night, dreams mostly. At the moment I manage to get back off to sleep but 5am is my usual wake up time :o(

Hi Viv - nice to hear from you. I love your avatar, is that your dog? xx
mamsa ...

The first thing all doctors ask is how much exercise you take?

ANd then they suggest you do a bit more.
As ttfn above masma ... just to rule out thyroid ect .. make an appointment with your doctor. I hope you feel better very soon. You have been chief carer to your son .. may be it has taken it's toll on you. Look after yourself x
