no there is no truth in this whatsoever.
I'm pretty sure it's starve a fever, feed a cold.

The only cure for man-flu is for the OH to be sympathetic, fluff up pillows and jump to every wish

However, the OH will just tell you it's a flipping cold so go and get on with it man :D

Thanks for the dark rum and sympathy, alba. We have some from last Christmas somewhere - it will be better than my good whisky.
