euthanasia ...what are peoples thoughts on this?

after reading a post tonight, I am just curious what peoples thoughts are on euthanasia.

If I ever decide my quality of life is such that I no longer wish to continue with it, I would like the option to be available, as long as I was sane enough to make the decision, and without anyone who helped me being prosecuted.

We're all gonna die .. one of the few certainties in life.
If your time's up .. imminently ... what's really wrong in hurrying it along a bit so one can die peacefully? : )

I don't know why we cannot have this option. It is our life and up to us whether we want to live or die!

I agree with it to a certain extent.

I think illness should be terminal. If they are not suffering from a terminal illness then it should be refused.

For animals, yes, nobody would stand by and let an animal suffer. But what about children? Could you help speed up the life of your child if a Doctor told you that there was no cure and they would only get worse?

What if it's not terminal but your quality of life is really crap? Terrible long term pain, paralysis, etc?

If you are REALLY bored you could just go the the seaside and just keep walking out to sea. If you are terminal and in loads of pain with no chance to recover then its the overdose

i only ask as i read about some of you putting your family members to sleep(pets) and i wanted to know if you would do the same if you could with other family members the same as you would with your pets , i think you should be allowed to or doctors should be allowed to anyway ,

I agree with it. But think it all needs to be done legally and in a euthanasia clinic otherwise people would ty cover murders up with it

It's easier said than done Cherry. When my Dad was dying and in so much pain I was willing him to hold on whereas my sister was willing him to let go.

I would never have allowed someone to end it...I just couldn't have.
