At what age would you expect to 'start' getting these on your hands?

I haven't got any as yet - thankfully, but have noticed them on many older people's hands.

The delights of aging.....

Ah, what a happy ending on Corrie......

Lol CARABINT, if I had these liver spot thingies, I'd be looking on Google to see how to disguise them & not ask on here, lol. Besides, I know a few people on AB personally & they'd vouch that I haven't got any - yet! ;o}
Hello there smudge,
I started getting them at 60,but my good lady (86) hasn't got any yet!
So maybe ladies are luckier.
BTW,I "bleach" mine with Evening Primrose cream,it tends to make them so pale that you can hardly see them.
A tip for if and when you get them?
Question Author
Oh, thank you Mr V - I shall make a note of that for the future....

I only mentioned it because I saw an elderly gent' at the doctors & his hands covered in them & it got me thinking....

I'm glad the Primrose Oil has worked for you & that Mrs V doesn't need it yet.

Thanks again. -x-

Mmm, I started scrutinising mine in the doc's tonyted, but couldn't see any with the naked eye! Can't see any when I put my reading spec's on either, but don't want to risk using a magnifying glass just in case! ;o}

Glad yours have disappeared....
Hmm, just had a close scrutiny of my hands.
No liver spots yet....just a few freckles
I wonder if this is why so many older Ladies and Gents (before the 1960's) wore gloves,
to hide the liver spots?
Question Author
Same her mrs_o. I have a few freckles on mine, but then I also have some on my shoulders from sunbathing. I think freckles are cute! Defo not liver spots!

You could be right Mr V.
-- answer removed --
I have some mainly on my right hand but also one on my face. They don't worry me in the slightest, maybe because I am fair skinned and used to be very freckly. I miss my freckly nose, it disappeared with age - the freckles I mean, not my nose.
On second thoughts perhaps the ones I can see now are just big freckles because they go up my arms as well!! Oh well..............
