Have you ever had a professional facial done in a salon? Approx how much did you pay, was it worth it & how long did the effect last? I'd never really thought about it until a friend recently mentioned she'd like one so I'm considering going too - we could both do with a bit of cheering up.

My man came and hacked , chopped, trimmed ,strimmed and dug and it all looks much nicer .
Sorry to hear about your Robinia Robinia . I'll take you in .I'll get Lampwick to vacate the pantry :0)
Lovely pictures Jno .
We need some corrugated iron round here ,preferably right round Barbie Bills garden .No doubt he'll be in fine fettle if it keeps nice over the weekend .
Waving his tongs ,flashing his belly and burning his sausages , whilst cursing at all and sundry ....deep joy .

Well I'm off to buy some geraniums ,then I'm going to plant my runner beans out ....be good and all have a nice weekend .Toodlepip for now xx
well, it may sound like I was basking in the sun, but actually I woke up at 5am, stayed awake until Him From The Council came to look at the oak tree (have to get official permission to get it pruned, which he has granted as he is a lovely man and has seen it before), then went back to bed. So I am probably gettling less out of the warm weather than Jayne in Brighton, but there you go.

Well I was basking in the shade until my neighbour (lovely tho' he is) decided to drag his whining strimmer out of it's cobwebby corner in the shed....tut....with a bit of luck he won't spot me nipping in to cut off his leccy...
Then again, if I'm off to inhabit the pantry at shaney towers...?
Don't worry about Barbie Bill shaney...I'll pack the Louis Vuittons

Morning all - have just written a stinking letter to Toshiba (translated into Spanish - finally)

Lovely day here getting a bit too hot. Dreadful season tourist wise, really down on other years.

typical innit, the sun comes out and everyone vanishes and leaves me to sweep up the salon. Well, I will gather up all Susan Boyle's hair clippings and sell them on eBay but that's it.
Morning each!

Just had first dip of the year in the pool, all of 3 secs flat, it was jolly frio!!!!
Question Author
bonsoir....intitot?....have you all been casting yer clouts?! Well don't cast them too far, it looks like it'll be a bit bit frio here in a few days time too. Ok, maybe not frio but a tad cooler than it has been. I've worked out that if I do half an hour here & there in the garden I should have it looking good for one week in October...

mmmm, has Vincent done a bunk again? I'll be advertising for a new toast monitor if he doesn't put in an appearance soon....
looks like he's had his half hour

Hi All Sorry I've not been on lately been a bit busy with one thing and another. As well as enjoying this lovely weather. I've actually been wearing Summer Skirts lately which is very unusual for me as I'm a trouser and jeans girl. Also been watching the French Open on the red button. Mostly the men ha! ha!. Federer is my favourite and I expect him to win the title.

Anyway I hope everybody is ok and keeping happy. See yer later 'gater(s)!!
Froid ? Where ? Nooo..I want this to go on for ever. Isn't it lovely . I've lolled about , pottered in the garden, washed everything in sight ,read , crossworded ,sudukoed and hosed next doors cat to within an inch of it's life . It looks such a sweet little thing but it's a murderer .I had to grit my teeth yesterday and wring the neck of a poor wood pigeon it had half killed .Yuk .
I wonder if I should put my fourpennorth in on osteoarthritis?
Or will Dr Kildare reckon it's no big deal :))

tut...fat lot of help you lot are....
good heavens, you're not trying to chase the doctor away? I only got him seconded to the site by blackmailing the health secretary over his expenses claims. I'm very much in favour of doctors saying 'Stop worrying, there's nothing wrong with you'... though of course if this proved to be incorrect, I might want to have words.

Reminds me of the last time I went to hospital... the doctors all ran away. Turned out they'd gone to get their camera, as they'd never seen anyone in as bad a state as me and asked permission to take my picture for the records. Unfortunately, this is a true story!
