Clinique do some good ones and they will colour match to your skin in a consultation.
I have stopped using expensive foundations as they all rub off anyway, and I could never find one that really suited my colouring without making me look like a masked marauder. What I do now is use Barbara Daly (from Tesco) and mix it in the palm of my hand with a bit of Sunshimmer, so I get the cover with the glow.
hi Fruitsalad, I have exactly the same problem - but have found L'Oreal Indelible to be pretty good. It stays put, has good coverage but doesn't make my pores look too bad. I've tried all the expensive ones - I've wasted 100's over the years n this is the best I've found! x
Estee Laudre do good ones. They last all day, and the bottle will last you for months as you don't need to use that much each time.
I think you will find it is Infallible by L'Oreal not indelible. I use it and it is very very good. My other favourite is L'Oreals mineral powder.
Estee Lauder Double Wear is excellent.
Oops! Thanks Elaine - I knew I should've double checked the name on the bottle. xx
totally agree with the Estee Lauder Double Wear recommendations
No probs upsydaisy, indelible is a great name for marker pens but in the context of foundation perhaps not. It made me laugh when I read it and I will now always refer to it as indelible foundation. I just did not want fruitsalad going into a shop and asking for the wrong thing. have a great weekend.
He he Elaine - that would be quite embarassing eh? Have a great Xmas! Fruitsalad hope you find one you like x
I'm loving the new mineral foundations. I use sheer cover and it's fab!
Never, ever buy foundations unless you have tried the colour first! They're too expensive to get wrong.

Invest in a good quality one. A better quality foundation is usually a lot more refined and therefore doesn't clog the skin so much. Know your skin type before buying (are you oily/combination? Do you have much blotching/blemishes? etc.). Pay a couple of visits to a department store and get the sales clerk to talk you through their product range. I guarantee that you'll know your foundations a lot better after that, then feel more confident in what to buy.

Finally..... invest in a good foundation brush and always use it to apply your foundation. You won't need to use much foundation and the brush coverage is fab!! Plus you end up with flawless, porcelain-looking skin.

p.s. I would always recommend spending more on your base make-up, and less on things like eyeshadow, lip gloss etc.
