Anyone recommend a good permanent hair colour for greying hair that lasts lots of washes for black hair?

Clairol Nice and Easy Natural Black - It wont fade, it only grows out.

how about grey ?
my mum used one an dits still grey and its been about 25 years
but I'm not sure of the make
