I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

Hello Biddy Badgers
Another lovely day .Wall to wall blue sky and we've been beach bumming along the sea front again .I wore a very common T Shirt and my cropped trews ,bikini days being long gone !
Hope you are all OK today and enjoying the weather .
What a beautiful place Jno . Lovely pictures .
I like all the badges .....I can't find one that says Slack Alice ..'cos I've done nowt indoors for a couple of days :)
I haven't watched Bletchley yet Robinia ,it's on my catch up list ...Good Cop was brilliant though .Is he going to get away with it ?
Hello, glad you have had a couple of nice days on the beach, Shaney It will do you both a lot of good.

It's been glorious here and really hot. Had lunch at Pensthorpe with a friend and sat chatting in their restaurant gardens for the good part of three hours (under an umbrella because of the heat!)

Am cream crackered now. I had a dreadful night which culminated in the worse nightmare I have ever experience. Woke Mr LL up with my screaming!!

I have been a slack alice for more than a couple of days Shaney!!
okay, who wants this badge...no, no, don't all amble at once...

Lol Jno ..I am plain lazy these days but I never used to be :)
Yes it's been glorious Lofty .Just the right temperature .Loads of people milling around on the beach and front all with same idea .Gives you a real boost and of course no screamers ..they're all back at school ....bless :)
I was going to be all henergetic today and mow the lawn but the battery on the mower is flat so i couldn't start it oh dear. Tax return is all done up and ready to be sent recorded delivery on monday and I have done little else. Its been quite hot here today.
Oight oight all
Oight, oight. Just love the Slack Alice Badge!!!
I was going to do some sanding... the sander's battery is fine but my own was flat. So I just went to CostCo instead

Caught up with the Bletchley thing Robinia ...It's a bit far fetched .Not bad though ....I like a period drama . I'll have to watch it all now though just to find out whodunnit and of course I caught up with JR, the minute he plonked his stetson on I thought to myself ,yeeeehah , cheesey but I loved it . Dallas with mobile phones and laptops ..it had to happen :)
Over and out from Slack Alice .See you tomorrow .Oight Oight .
I never got round to watching the Bletchley series but it sounded a bit like one of those mashups... Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, Sense & Sensibility & Seamonsters, Bletchley & Serial Killers.
I watched sunday's George Gently yesterday and Downton Abbey (rerun)
I am really impressed with GG although its nothing like the books which i am also enjoying.
It was really foggy this morning. I wish the met office would get its fog forecasting act together. Its often foggier here on the days its not forecast than the days it is.
Morning all...lovely day now the mist's cleared. Just need the fog in my head to go now.

Ooh I'd love a sander... but I'd probably end up with door like Japanese paper screens.

Yes I felt exactly the same about Dallas shaney, it was great...hee haaa! :) I thought Larry Hagman might be a bit slow and bumbling, but, shame on me for thinking that, he seemed as sharp as ever.

Well I might be off to mess about by the river (not on it) later so I'd better douse myself in Flit.
I have a black eye!!

Turned over in bed and hit my eye socket/cheek bone on the corner of the bedside table - it hurt!!!
Sorry - good morning Biddies - another glorious day :o)
lower bedside tale needed? or a better barrier of pillows?

Off to Oxforsdhire today, I think, though as I didn't get to sleep until 5am it may not be me driving.
incidentally it's Heritage Open Days this weekend so everyone should be out inspecting stately homes, neolithic burial pits and ducking stools and stuff.
Ouch lottie!
Dogs didn't wake me till 11.15 this morning, have mooched toast off me and are now asleep again. Its a beautiful day for not doing much so I'd better get on and do it.
Ha, ha Woofie, I am doing just that "nothing much". Eye looks wonderful!!
I must have been sleeping right at the edge of the bed (trying to get away from Mr LL!!)

Meggie is sleeping too. She is not a morning dog any more than I am a morning person! She gets up for a wee, usually about 6.00ish and then dashes in straight back to bed at least until lunch time. She gets quite miffed if disturbed by things like hoovers or even people tidying up around her. I know just how she feels.

Mr LL is back on the garage roof and it worries me to death!!
Have decided on glass painting as my new hobby. Have ordered a second hand book from Ebay, and hope to start on small things like candle holders which I can give as gifts. I quite like doing intricate things even when I draw and paint, definitely not a splash it all around artist.

You can buy cheap glass things so not too expensive a holiday.

Utimate aim to do our front door panels with butterflies and birds (if Mr LL allows me to!!).
a hobby, not a holiday. My brain is going haywire!!
