Vivaro 1.9 TDCi which oil ??

Hi my son-in -law needs some oil for his van but not sure which to use.. can anyone help??Thanks Twinny

If it was mine it would be 15-40w Diesel oil from GSF.
whats his typical load and mileage..... age of van?
You don't need all that nonsense .. Just good quality semi-synthetic diesel oil. GSF is the best place to buy generally, unless you want to pay £30/gallon in a forecourt petrol station.
if low mileage and average loads look for a Shell Rotella T 15W-40 (or a 15w-30 grade If he really is putting in the miles, the van is new and carrying heavier loads, it may be worth going with a Shell Rimula 15W-40. Shell diesel lubs seriously outstrip their competitors on a wide range of performance characteristics.....

recommended is 15w/40 semi although 10w/40 is acceptable(especially in winter)
