where's the horse

I have just finished the Iliad and was really disappointed. the thing itself was very interesting to read, but there was no damn wooden horse in it. not even a small one. so that's part of the odyssey, or what?

Yes, that's part of the Odyssey. I haven't read it myself though. Maybe Homer remembered the Trojan Horse myth after he wrote the Iliad.
Its in the Aeneid by Virgil, and refered to briefly in the Odsyssey
