Weren't the stories supposed to be Watson's memories of Holmes, so it could be said he appeared in all of them as narrator, even if he doesn't mention himself

The two I mentioned above had Holmes as narrator and Watson doesn't appear. On checking, I got the title of the first wrong - it's Blanched Soldier not Man.
