has anyone out there read this book? i've read about 3/4 of it so don't spoil the ending for me but i'm impressed by it.it really grips me and it's difficult stuff to deal with.you feel for the narrator of the story but it's also an attack on liberal sensibilities.i'd be interested to know how others feel about it.

Having two young daughters whom I adore, I found it difficult to relate to the mother, though was less judgemental by the end. I wasn't altogether sure I trusted the narrative either and began to sense as the book went on, she was trying to justify her own behaviour, rather than being honest. Disturbing!!
