No I didn't ! I am hoping some friends that are visiting the States next year are going to bring some back for me, although I am not holding my breath, as I am still waiting for the A1 Steak Sauce that I asked for last year !

I can get A1 here in Cardiff, but the cheeky so and so who runs the Deli wants to charge me nearly £6 a bottle, for something that retails at about about £1.50 over there ! I am a bit mad but not that mad !
But thanks for asking 237 ...very considerate of you !
Mikey when one of my daughters went to Vancouver to study she once paid $9 for a box of bisto gravy granules that had 99p written on the packaging.
We foodies sometimes take leave of our senses Retrochic !

I have some Ex-pat British friends that now live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and for the first 10 years, they bought Birds Custard Power, HP Sauce and Custard Creams mail-order from an address in California. But after 10 years, they admitted defeat and now eat mostly American food ! They have now lived in America for nearly 40 years and talk with distinct Yankie accents !

But I still take them a jar of Branston when I visit ! Jim reckons its the only thing that makes a cheese sarny taste of anything, as most American Cheddar is just about up to our Mild standard, if that.

"Mild Cheddar"...an oxymoron if ever I heard one !

Ok. It's just that I am in Canada and I thought I'd nip down to the supermarket and have a look.
Mikey - SJ delivers from Canada. I have to rely on Tesco deliveries. :-)
237...I don't want to put you to any trouble but ......... !

Actually I have been informed that Cross and Blackwell make something similar :::

237....I think that sending this from Cananda might make it rather expensive. but thanks very much for the offer.

Another flipping thing you can't get anymore is Heinz Curried Beans, in those small cans. They sell something similar but they are not half as nice. I wish these companies would inform me when they are going to stop selling a staple food like these....I would have gone to the Cash n Carry and bought a case if I had known !

Seems I am not the only one :::

LOL - I don't live in Canada. I'm back in the sunny UK tomorrow (weather's dire here)
mikey - have you ever thought of sending your new hampshire friends a jar of Marmite from time to time ?

Just to remind them of home ?
Baz...marmite is a funny thing. People like me think that it is made in heaven, by angels. But my ex-pat friends in NH are of the other variety, and describe it as the Devils Food ! This is an expression that I reserve for sprouts.

My days of going abroad are finished now though. I now have my caravan near Lands End, which is my paradise these days.

In fact I am off there on Sunday, until January the 3rd ! Pasty with all the trimmings for Xmas lunch this year !
Thanks WR !

I saw it in the food market. There are lots of Bicks relishes - dill, hamburger, hotdog but the one you like is called Bicks Sweet Relish. Looking at the ingredients, there are lot of additives. I think I'd rather make my own!
237...thanks for your help...have a safe journey home !
