I looked at the Kobo Glo, dotty, but found that it had some limitations that were either just irritating or plainly limiting. I was put off that for library or internet available books, one has to download Adobe’s Digital Editions app to sync the reader with any books from the internet or borrow from your local library. Additionally, the cost of many of the books is more expensive than from Amazon and lastly, If you like read a serial type books, one most likely can't get them except from Amazon.
Although I didn't personally experience it, a review of the Kobo also says "...A problem exists if one selects a book via a search. The price of the book was not displayed. Instead, a “Buy Now” button just lingered there, taunting me. I finally tapped the button and was taken to page where the price is displayed next to my payment method. Having to tap another button to uncover the price of a book is a bad user experience, and it’s something a company in Kobo’s position should be working hard to fix."
