i don't know why but i assumed this was recently, he died in 2004, aged only 50. I confess i find some of the books heavy going, but will have another go..

I read an article a couple of years ago, apparently all his dosh went to his dad and brother and the partner of many years got zip, no will. She retaliated saying there was a 4th instalment of the series and she won't tell anyone where it is.

The fourth book was about 75% complete on the author's death, plot lines and chapter sketches exist for at least another two, and there is a basic synoptic outline for several others, IIRC...

Conspiracy Theory has it that he was murdered by the Establishment who were terrified that people would realise there was a lot of truth in the scale of the corruption revealed, and were concerned that further stuff would emerge in subsequent tales.

Any attempt to produce more books would therefore be brutally suppressed.

We await developments (or not).

In the last book, he made lots of references to Swedish government intrigue, I think he mentioned the Olaf Palmer murder for example. Didn't he die falling down stairs?
